The name Garas is derived from the Nama word which means quiver tree. The Garas campsite is basic yet clean, offering washing facilities and attractive decorations. It is surrounded by numerous quiver trees, aloe plants , and stunning rock formations.

Well worth the visit

No lack of originality at this place with its ancient rock formations and hundreds of quiver trees. A real must to see and experience.

Garas Park Rest Camp was the quirkiest and most memorable campsite on our Namibia road trip
