Buona Serata,

The sign clearly indicates the restaurant opens for dinner at 8:00 pm.

Roberta and Sergio and I leave our hotel at eight and walk the short distance.

After climbing the steep spiral staircase to the dining room, the manager informs us the kitchen staff is delayed.  No cooks at the moment! 

So just as we are about to begin our treacherous descent, the staff arrives.  Sergio notices they carry bags of pasta.

Sergio announces, “I will cook the dinner!  And I will instruct the staff on the proper method of preparing pasta.”

And so he did.

And so we ate.

I’m so pleased to be on the road with experienced travelers who are not inhibited.  We do whatever it takes.

Will there be more spontaneous events in our future?

Naturalmente.
